One of my favorite feature on the Ladybrille site is the featured musical artist. I’m an extreme music lover and appreciate the opportunity to expand my “portfolio” and learn about new and dynamically talented artists from all over the African continent!! Outside of the fashion which is a given, this would be my favorite part.

Question to Korto: It would be quite a task (although doable) to shift the paradigm of US fashion from generally Euro and US inspired to begin to appreciate and incorporate fashion perspectives from Africa in mainstream trends. Obviously Ladybrille is working to do so, and successfully so, but how can you as a designer contribute to this effort?

Question to Korto: If you plan a runway show in the near future will you seek to change the body types featured from past typical shows and if so what can we expect to see represented?

I was really upset about you not winning the project runway the 2nd time around.

Corto, I love the way you make the fabrics form the body, you cut with precision and skill and the fabrics that you choose is what makes your fashion design stand out. You are still a winner in my eyes, I wish you much luck in your future endeavors!

1)My question to you is what gives you inspiration and drive to keep being a fashion designer, Being that there is so much competition and the economy we live in today?

2)What I like about ladybrillemag.com is the web site design and format, its neat, user friendly and not all over the place. The color scheme is fun and playful which I find very appealing. My favorite feature is Labybrille women of the month, I love to see inspiring women who are making there dreams come true, I find that inspiring for me!

I really love the adore the user friendly applications and website design. The coloring and organized design is very open, airy, young, hip and fresh! It does not give sensory overload but does not leave you wishing for more. Please keep up the great work.

Korto, I have been following you since Project Runway. You are inspirational to all women, especially women of color. As an admirer of your work I feel your thoughts through your design esthetic, color selections, and cultural infusion! Your work is amazing! When your name has become as common place thoughout the world (as we know that is not far off from the present), what is the one signature thing you want everyone to know and appreciate about you as the designer?

I was born by parents of Trinidadian decent and can truely appreicate your use of texture and color because we have similar flare in our clothing back home. My question to you is, “When all is said and done, What impression do you want to leave in this world? Why do you use the textures and fabrics that you do?
