Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw Land Lead Roles in ‘Undercovers’

by Ladybrille Magazine on January 21, 2010 No Comment

Both inter-racial and of African descent, Boris Kodjoe (half-Ghanian) and Gugu-Mbatha-Raw (half South African) have landed lead roles in NBC’s upcoming television series ‘Undercovers.’ Undercovers is described as a story of a “domesticated husband (Kodjoe) and wife (Mbatha-Raw) who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of retirement.” If you have seen Mr & Mrs. Smith, then you get the idea.

Who is Gugu Mbatha-Raw?
“Mbatha-Raw, a graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, broke through during the summer when she was cast as Ophelia opposite Jude Law in the Donmar Warehouse production of “Hamlet,” which had successful runs in London’s West End and on Broadway.

The daughter of a South African doctor and an English nurse, Mbatha-Raw hasn’t appeared on American TV but has done arcs on several popular British series including “Spooks” and “Doctor Who.” ~Hollywood Reporter

We can’t wait to see her in action!
