Machere, Audi Joburg Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 Review

by Ladybrille Magazine on January 22, 2010 No Comment

What happened to Machere?! For Audi Joburg Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection, the collection lacked a clear point of view and a sense of who it was designing for. Quite dissapointing considering we have come to expect a brand that is innovative, has a clever use of color and definitely delivers when it comes to flattering silhouettes with a  clear point of view; West meets Africa in a very cohesive, pragmatic and modern way.

Not a flattering silhouette on most body types, and definitely a no-no for ladies with short necks

Neither is this- the collar of this dress is simply a fashion crime

More unflattering shapes-only a few body shapes can get away with this

Great fabric choice, unflattering silhouette on most body types including the model wearing it

The green cotton skirt has elepahants printed on it but the combination still lacks enthusiam/”pop!”

Good fabric choice and color for skirt but simply overwhelming purple faux-fur jacket.

The combination simply does not work. Too much, too busy.

There is hope-beautiful top but maybe not paired with this skirt

There is hope- beautiful skirt but maybe not paired with the top

There is hope-beautiful dress
