Singer Kelis is fast becoming the American celeb poster child of how to rock African inspired fashion designs and designers. She has been spotted in the past rocking a Jewel by Lisa design. This time, she shares the love by rocking African design brand Zed Eye. Never heard about the brand? Here we go: “The Zed-Eye fashion label is the brainchild of the young and gifted, Nigerian born fashion designer Ngozi. From a young age Ngozi was exposed to fashion and was inspired by her mother who ran a small boutique in their local town. Surrounded by fabrics while growing up she could not help but develop a passion for clothing. Six years after graduating from the London College of Fashion the Zed-Eye clothing label was born. Ngozi’s greatest inspiration comes from Vivienne Westwood. Using soft warm silks and rich colours to create that luxurious feminine feel throughout Zed-Eye has created a collection of bespoke pieces to reflect the sexiness and femininity of the wearer.
