Emerging Nigerian artist Iyanya, known for his hit single ‘Kukere,’ announced yesterday, via twitter, that ‘Kukere’ became the most downloaded single caller ring back tune in Nigeria with over 3 million subscribers.

For his accomplishment, the artist took to twitter to thank his fans and other supporters of his music. He also received a check, with an undisclosed amount, from MTECH, a communications company “empowering the mobile generation.”
