Uduak Oduok, Editor-in-Chief, recognized as a brilliant visionary, especially on Africa’s emerging global fashion and entertainment markets, Uduak Oduok’s experience (over 20years) runs deep and diverse encompassing the disciplines of law, media, publishing, fashion, modeling, music, branding and public relations.
The founder of Ladybrille Media Group, Inc. whose insight and analysis is regularly sought, Uduak is also a partner and attorney at Ebitu Law Group, P.C., a journalist and ex-fashion model, she is often quoted and has authored numerous published articles in national and international magazines and newspapers.
Uduak also has a passion for entrepreneurship and has consulted and conducted seminars on entrepreneur topics with many small and medium size businesses. She is also often invited to speak to numerous organizations and has spoken at many including SXSW, Delta School of Fashion and Retail Camp Los Angeles. Uduak has also been a radio legal commentator on New York’s 99.5FM WBAI and 107.5FM WBLS on the State v. Dr. Conrad Murray Micheal Jackson Manslaughter Trial.
Elfonnie Inokon, Contributor, is a fashion enthusiast whose works have been featured in numerous publications. Over the past five years, she has written several articles on fashion, music, film and general pop culture. Elfonnie cites her passion for Africa and particularly her country Nigeria as the basis for why she writes. She believes that it is only through journalism that Africans can change the world’s perspective about who they really are. Shana Peete, Contributor, has practiced law since graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2002. After working as an entertainment attorney in New York, she relocated to Hawaii in 2004 and served as a Honolulu prosecutor for two years. Next, she worked in the nonprofit sector before returning to the full-time practice of law. In 2008, she opened the Law Office of Shana Peete, a general practice that focuses on protecting the rights of small businesses and individuals while offering affordable access to legal representation and the judicial system. Her passions include spending time with her family and cultivating her creative energy. An avid fashion follower, she has been a freelance fashion writer and blogger since 2007.
Kam Williams, Contributor, Voted Most Outstanding Journalist of the Decade by the Disilgold Soul Literary Review in 2008, Kam Williams is a syndicated film and book critic who writes for 100+ publications around the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada and the Caribbean. He is a member of the New York Film Critics Online, the African-American Film Critics Association, the NAACP Image Awards Nominating Committee, and Rotten Tomatoes.
In addition to a BA in Black Studies from Cornell, he has an MA in English from Brown, an MBA from The Wharton School, and a JD from Boston University. Kam lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and son.
