BREAKING NEWS: Fashion Model Noemie Lenoir Attempts Suicide in Paris

“French Model Noemie Lenoir, 30 was found unconscious outside of Paris Sunday afternoon after roaming in a nearby woods according to The Daily Mail. Lenoir reportedly swallowed a fatal combination of alcohol and drugs at the home of former boyfriend and the father of her five-year-old son.

A source close to Lenoir spoke exclusively to The Daily Mail: “After coming to, Noemie was in a state of great distress and clearly very ill. She had clearly attempted to harm herself and had fallen unconscious. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for the effects of poisoning. It seems that she may have tried to commit suicide as a cry for help. She’s now in a far better condition and recovering.”

According to reports Lenoir has been suffering “extreme angst” because of her relationship with Swiss millionaire Carl Hirschmann. Hirschmann is involved in a sex and extortion scandal in his home country.

Lenoir, signed to Elite agency has been modeling for over a decade. She appeared in ads by Gap, L’Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger. Lenoir also appeared in the films “Rush Hour 3″ and “After the Sunset.” The successful model recently walked the Fall 2010 Louis Vuitton show (read more).”

Barneys New York Dedicates 2 Windows to Supermodel Iman

On June 7th, 2010, Supermodel Iman will receive the Fashion Icon Award at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards. To celebrate her achievement, high end retailer Barneys plans to dedicate two of its windows in its Madison Avenue flagship store to the Supermodel.

According to WWD, the project will be directed by Barneys New York creative director Simon Doonan. One of the windows will feature collages of Iman’s s career, while the other will include a Bruce Weber portrait of Iman matched with select quotes from her husband and other fashion and entertainment personalities.

“I was absolutely terrified of her because she is so regal and beautiful but the minute we got off the set, we bonded wildly. We’re both immigrants; she just happens to be twice my height,” said Doonan in his interview to WWD.

Barneys unveils its installation on May 11th, 2010.
