Uduak OduokUduak Oduok, Editor-in-Chief, recognized as a brilliant visionary, especially on Africa’s emerging global fashion and entertainment markets, Uduak Oduok’s experience (over 17years) runs deep and diverse encompassing the disciplines of law, media, publishing, fashion, modeling, music, branding and public relations.

The founder of Ladybrille Media Group, Inc. whose insight and analysis is regularly sought, Uduak is also an attorney, fashion model and journalist. She is often quoted and has authored numerous published articles in national and international magazines and newspapers.

Uduak also has a passion for entrepreneurship and has consulted and conducted seminars on entrepreneur topics with many small and medium size businesses. She is also often invited to speak to numerous organizations and has spoken at many including SXSW, Jack & Jill of America, Inc., Nollywood Foundation Inc., San Joaquin County Honor Farm Jail Program, San Francisco Fashion Week, and Delta College. Uduak has also been a radio legal commentator on New York’s 99.5FM WBAI and 107.5FM WBLS.

Shana Peete, Contributor, has practiced law since graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2002. After working as an entertainment attorney in New York, she relocated to Hawaii in 2004 and served as a Honolulu prosecutor for two years. Next, she worked in the nonprofit sector before returning to the full-time practice of law. In 2008, she opened the Law Office of Shana Peete, a general practice that focuses on protecting the rights of small businesses and individuals while offering affordable access to legal representation and the judicial system. Her passions include spending time with her family and cultivating her creative energy. An avid fashion follower, she has been a freelance fashion writer and blogger since 2007.
Kam WilliamsKam Williams, Contributor, Voted Most Outstanding Journalist of the Decade by the Disilgold Soul Literary Review in 2008, Kam Williams is a syndicated film and book critic who writes for 100+ publications around the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada and the Caribbean. He is a member of the New York Film Critics Online, the African-American Film Critics Association, the NAACP Image Awards Nominating Committee, and Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition to a BA in Black Studies from Cornell, he has an MA in English from Brown, an MBA from The Wharton School, and a JD from Boston University. Kam lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and son. He contributes both for Ladybrille Magazine and LadybrilleStars.

Robert Harris is the Chief Financial Officer of Black Star Communications, Ltd., an Internet service provider and telecommunications consulting company chartered in the UK and registered in the Republic of Ghana. Presently, the company is installing WiFi Internet service in the port city of Tema in Ghana and will soon expand throughout Ghana. Harris is also an author of a soon to be published novel, The Unholy Holy, A Storyof India. He is also an attorney practicing in Sacramento, California with a focus on business and bankruptcy law. He was previously General Counsel for Itex Corporation, a publicly traded international barter exchange company. He is married with one child and one dog.

Niama SandyNiama Sandy, Contributor, is a freelance journalist whose work has appeared in print and online publications (including Canada’s WE Magazine and Jam Rock Magazine) in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. A New York native born of Caribbean parentage and a graduate of Howard University’s illustrious School of Communications Niama is devoted to excellence and innovation in music, media and publicity. She is also a lifelong creator, lover and patron of the arts. Aside from being a contributor for Ladybrille Magazine, Niama also serves as Vice President of Publicity for Fanfare Management & Publicity.

Maque DeGorgeous, Contributor, is a Johannesburg-based socialite and Fashion blogger (http://maquedegorgeous.blogspot.com). After enjoying many years in the picturesque Cape Town where he studied Molecular Cellular Biology – out of pure interest – and spent many hours basking in the ambience of fashion-loving crowd and enjoying front row scenery at many fashion shows, he decided to follow his writing passion and report on all he sees; “The DeGorgeous Lifestyle”

This came as no surprise, having being raised in a household of fashion-loving women, a literature lecturer and writer mother and a popular seamstress (in the neighborhood) grandmother who left materials and patterns scattered in the house for the young Maque to enjoy. His journey as a fashion writer is young but blooming.

Imende BenjaminImende Benjamin, Contributor, is a diploma graduate from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), a leading Media training institution in Eastern and Central Africa. KIMC was established in 1954 by the Colonial government to train Journalists/writers for all Media Houses in the horn of Africa.

He has worked for major Publications in the region. They include Finance Magazine, Cross Continents Venture Limited (The Publishers of Safari Times, CEO Magazine, Sokoni, The Sunday Express Newspapers and in-house publications for other Companies such as Sukari for Mumias Sugar and the Mikutano for Kenyatta International Conference Centre),The Kenyan Spectator, Pan African News Agency (Panapress), Msingi Magazine (A Safaricom Foundation Magazine) and the Magazine Centre, among others.

Currently, he is a senior writer at the Cross Continents Venture Limited and Msingi Magazine. Apart from being a senior Correspondent, he is also the liaison person for Magazine Centre in Kenya.

T ChurchToya Thomas, Contributor, aka A Poet Named T.Church has been a fashion and culture contributor for Ladybrille Magazine since 2008. Toya brings a soulful vibe to Ladybrille Magazine with her very talented deeply personal poems. Toya was born and raised in the Westbank of New Orleans. She attended West Jefferson high school in Harvey La graduating in 2001. Her sophomore year of High school she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Heaven. In 2005, due to hurricane Katrina, Toya and her daughter immigrated to Houston, TX for 2 years. Before returning to her hometown, Toya vowed nothing would deter her from finding her purpose. Toya says she found her purpose in January 2007 when she decided to dedicate her natural talent for writing to Christ.

Since then, she has written poems that pierce the soul and addresses broad social issues especially among teenage girls. Toya is also a speaker, speaking at numerous churches, youth groups and seminars encouraging others to fulfill their purpose in life. Her mission is to inform and uplift towards the truth and she plans to continue through poetry and through Ladybrille Magazine.

Ngozi MbaNgozi Mba, Contributor, based in Los Angeles, California, contributes entertainment, fashion, events, and travel articles for Ladybrille Magazine. She is a graduate of Harvard University.

Moji AkinyemiMoji Akinyemi, Contributor, is a graduate with a degree in Economics and a passion for fine cuisine. She is Ladybrille Magazine’s go to girl for travel, food and restaurant reviews. Moji enjoys cooking and hosting dinners, is a fashion lover and has her own sense of style and uniqueness, classic yet modern elegance. An avid traveler who enjoys discovering new places and cultures, this globe trotter has visited numerous states within the USA and many countries including Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Nigeria, and France.

Emmanuel BagwanaEmmanuel Bagwana, Contributor, is a fashion designer, photo editor and freelance journalist based in Kampala Uganda. He is the designer for the Ugandan label Eguana which is known for its modern take on African design. Bagwana’s journalism work has been featured in both print and digital media in his country
